NEW JUNE 2020.  This 20-page booklet issued by BR is referred to as Circular No. 81. Its title is "Working of special traffic and other general instructions". It applies to the Eastern Division of the Eastern Operating Area (effectively the GE area), excluding the Southend District. It is dated 5 June 1950 until further notice.

It provides for foreseeable special traffic which does not appear in the working timetables. For example there are paths for light engines working up to Stratford from all of the main sheds in the region, including tram engines from Ipswich, and for horsebox specials from Newmarket to the Southern Region.
