NEW MARCH 2026. This is the GNR public timetable beginning 3 October 1921.  It is a large format paper-covered book with almost 170 pages.  Because there are no two-page spreads in it, the file displays it one page at a time.

Compared with the GER, many more of its longer distance trains extend over other company's lines - in the extreme, a Scottish express may leave Kings Cross then get as far as the NER at York before even making its first stop. The style of the book therefore makes more of such inter-company workings.

Several items are of GE interest.  There is a summary table of all train services between London and Hertford/Cambridge (though it is up to the intending passenger from Hertford to realise his departure station must be either the North or the East one, depending on whether he arrives at Kings Cross or Liverpool Street).  Services on the M&GN, both sections of the Norfolk & Suffolk Joint and the GN&GE Joint lines are of course all fully covered.  There is also a table of all the through workings between the GN and the GE.
