RW008 GER Employees' Sick and Orphan Society Handbook, 1967
NEW JANUARY 2019. The GER Employees' Sick and Orphan Society was founded in 1903, but it outlasted the GER itself. This file contains the members' handbook for 1967.
This was a 48-page book, shown mostly as two-page spreads. It gives full details of the benefits (in the case of illness or sickness and upon death) available in return for a weekly payment.
The rules concerning payments are spelled out. So too are the arrangements for the committee to run the Society, with elected members from each district of the former GER. The file concludes with scans of additional handouts describing partial amendments of the rules in 1956 and 1962, and of increased benefits in 1964.
This file is word-searchable and has bookmarks to the main parts. It will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
