RR030 Rules of the GER Insurance Society and the GER Savings Bank
UPDATED APRIL 2016. This file consists of two separate documents. First is a members' handbook for the GER Insurance Society. This was a Friendly Society providing members with benefits in the event of illness, disablement or - if appropriate - maternity. The full rules are included. The booklet dates to 1919. It contains 32 pages, displayed two at a time in the file.
The second part shows a passbook for the GER Provident Savings Bank. This was taken over by the LNER but retained its original name, and again the full rules are there. The entries in it range from 1922 to 1928 (though to respect the privacy of the original owner, all clues to their identity have been removed).
This file is word-searchable and has bookmarks to the main parts. It will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
