RW002 Workers' Safety c.1930
NEW APRIL 2017. This is a booklet produced jointly by the LNER, LMS, GWR and SR. The title is 'Prevention of Accidents to Staff engaged in Railway Operation'. It is undated, but appears to be from 1930 or thereabouts. It was intended for shunters and other workers whose jobs took them out on the lines, and provides guidance on potential hazards and how to avoid them.
It consists of 30 printed pages plus two blanks, on cheap and flimsy paper. There are 32 photographs included, obviously posed but very reminiscent of the period.
