RG057: The Chingford Branch.
NEW AUGUST 2023. This file deals with the Chingford branch. The main feature is an article about it which appeared in the December 1952 issue of the Railway Magazine. It is illustrated with a map and seven photographs. The writer uses the name 'Icarus', and explains that the account is based on the combined researches of the members of the Imperial College Railway Society for 1951/2.
A bonus is a paragraph taken from the 'Notes and News' section of the Railway Magazine of February 1953. This resulted from readers' feedback on the article, and consists of a mixture of small corrections and of further information.
Another bonus is a set of eight pages each containing a further photograph. These are samples taken from our catalogue of Sales photographs. Some are from the late 1950s, while others are as recent as 2001 and include a picure of the interior of Chingford signal box at that time.
The file is word-searchable. It will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
