LM054: Original Brush Type 4 Operating Manual, 1967.
NEW DECEMBER 2020. The Brush Type 4's became the long-lived Class 47's. When purchasing one of the original twenty locomotives in 1967 (then BR nos. D1500 to D1519), this is the first edition of the Handbook which came with it, provided by Brush Sulzer.
It has card covers plus ninety pages, dispayed in this file as a sequence of two-page spreads. There are many drawings and photographs, two of which are in colour.
The main sections are headed General Description; Diesel Engine; Electrical Equipment; Air System; Driving Compartment; Steam Heating Boiler; Fire Fighting Equipment; and Fault Finding.
