RH044 The LTSR Centenary 1956.
NEW AUGUST 2016. In February 1956 the Eastern Region of British Railways published a three-fold leaflet (effectively six pages overall) to mark the centenary of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. The public were invited to purchase a copy for threepence.
In addition to a one-page summary of the history of the line, it contained eleven black and white illustrations from various dates given as between 1905 and 1920. As well as depicting several of the locomotives and some passenger rolling stock, these include a picture of coaling at Shoeburyness and scenes at Fenchurch Street, Plaistow shed, Southend and St Pancras.
The file of it will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
