RG012 Stratford Works 1921
A GERS reproduction (1991) of an original GER publication entitled 'Memoranda connected with the Locomotive and Carriage Works at Stratford and the Wagon Works at Temple Mills'. Similar to RG011 but with more information and with 35 photographs ranging from the foundry to the lady machinists doing the upholstery for the carriages - and the quality of the scans is much better too. There is little point in buying both RG011 and RG012. Unless the date of 1900 is of overriding importance, therefore, this is the one you are strongly advised to choose.
A plan of the layout of the Stratford complex is included, but map RG016 contains much more detail for c.1915.
