NEW MARCH 2017.  This is a card-covered booklet, issued by the GER but undated. It contains 14 typescript pages. The title is "List of Collieries. Shewing routes by which wagons for coal, coke & patent fuel traffic should be forwarded to, or loaded out from, if so consigned or when no route is indicated."

The collieries in the Midlands and the North of England are all arranged in groups, such as Durham and North Eastern District Group and the Wigan Group. Each individual colliery is named. Presumably as a result of complex agreements, the designated route the traffic should take from each group is stated.

Thus some listed collieries from the North Staffordshire Group should have their traffic routed "via Egginton G.N. and Peterboro".  Others had to send their coal "via L & N.W.Rly and Peterboro".  On the last page is the message "Traffic from Collieries underlined cannot be sent to South of Thames Stations by G. E. Route".
