SG066 Resignalling of the Harwich Branch 1985

NEW APRIL 2020.  In December 1985 the Harwich branch was resignalled with colour lights. This is British Rail Eastern Region Signalling Notice No. 142 relating to work to be carried out on Sunday and Monday 1 and 2 December, when the new signalling would be commissioned.  Three signal boxes - Parkeston Goods Junction, Parkeston West and Harwich Town - were to close and a new box named Parkeston was to open.

The new signalling is described and three diagrammatic maps are provided showing the arrangements from Wrabness to Harwich.
