RR067 Working Instructions for the Newly Electrified Lines from Colchester to Clacton 1958
NEW APRIL 2020. These scans are of a hard-cover pocket book for issue to railway workers on the newly electrified lines from Colchester North to St Botolphs, Clacton and Walton-on-the-Naze. The book is dated 1958, and the wires were due to go live in January 1959.
Topics covered include definitions of the terms; a description of the system; general instructions; the isolation of overhead line equipment; the operation of multiple unit trains; and safety rules for the protection of staff and other people. In the back is a diagrammatic map of the complete route, with non-electrified sidings distinguished.
