MN011 GER Way and Works Committee 1862-1879
UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2015. Meetings of the GER Way and Works Committee 1862 to 1879. The 'Way' in the title is the permanent way, and the 'Works' are all sorts of building projects: therefore the committee was responsible for what today we might call the infrastructure of the Railway. There is also an appendix at the end, containing the 1864 minutes of the Stores Committee.
The latest addition is a 59-page summary of Minute Book RAIL 227/63. This contains meetings of the GER Way and Works and Stores Committees from August 1868 to January 1869. This fills a gap which had existed; they have been inserted out of chronological sequence at the end.
