SG023 Chelmsford to Witham Resignalling 1961

  • SG023 Chelmsford to Witham Resignalling 1961

AMENDED APRIL 2015. British Transport Commission Instruction No. 29 issued on 31 August 1961. It describes new signalling to be installed between Chelmsford (exclusive) and Witham (partly exclusive). This was when New Hall, Chantry, Hatfield Peverel and Blunts Hall signal boxes were abolished.

There are five pages of description and detail.  These are followed by a long diagrammatic map, including Chelmsford and Witham station areas, which has been scanned in several parts; those scans have then been carefully stitched together to form a single image.
