I am posting these photos in memory of fellow railway modeller John Watson who sadly passed away earlier this month. The photos are of his 7mm ( S7) layout Cratfield based on the Mid Suffolk Light Railway. John was well known for his work in P4 and to a certain extent in S7. His early work with P4 involved a layout called Laxfield and had the distinction of being the first layout featured in Model Railway Journal #0, this was followed by Kenton also in P4 in MRJ #72.
The following photos show Cratfield built to 7mm S7 standards much of which is scratch built including the MSLR loco.
R.I.P. John Watson.
