For enthusiasts and researchers of the Great Eastern Railway

These models constitute the Stratford Breakdown Train in 1962. They were scratch built in O Gauge by the late Alan Webb, who was the GERS Treasurer and Journal typist until he died in September 2001.

The train consists of Cowans Sheldon 75 ton crane DB966111, Jib Runner DB998512, Tool Van ADE323154 converted from teak Gresley passenger stock, Riding Van ADE320947 similarly converted and J15 65464. It is possible but very unlikely that this particular engine would have been used on this train, but unfortunately complete authenticity would have meant modelling a diesel.
