For enthusiasts and researchers of the Great Eastern Railway

What does he sell?

Barry Jackson (GERS Sales Officer) writes:-

Brian Hornsey owns a large collection of BR working timetables from the 1950s. He has generously provided scans of the ones covering GE areas to the GERS free of charge. A few of these have been made into Information Sheets, and PDF files of those ones plus several more have appeared in the Files Emporium.

We ourselves sell information, in the form of files or of stapled printed sheets. What Brian is offering are quality reproductions of the original timetables, printed on decent white paper with light card covers – the end products are every bit as good as the originals were when they were brand new, if not better!

The available timetables are currently from the Eastern, North Eastern and Scottish Regions of British Railways. The London Midland, Western and Southern will be added as the collection grows and date from 1951 to 1954. Prices of course depend on the number of pages; they start at £4.00 which includes postage (but at present he is posting only to UK addresses).

How can I find out more?

Brian’s web site is at Its layout is simple because his broadband supplier allows him only limited free web space, but nevertheless it is very informative.

How do I make a purchase?

You place your order via an email link on his website. Payment has to be by Paypal, but you do not pay when you order: instead you wait until you receive an email saying your goods are ready for dispatch.
