GER Carriage Numbering 4 months 2 days ago #688

Is there a source from which it is possible to identify the type of carriage from its number alone? I am trying to establish the identities of GER 550 and 575.

The problem with absolute identification is the GER's re-use of numbers. 550 and 575 were either 24' 3" 4-wheel Thirds to GE Diagram 400 or 50' Bogie Thirds to GE Diagram 419.

Thank you very much. In this case, it is the first of the two possibilities. The bodies are grounded in Cromer.
