TW069 LNER Working Timetable for the GE area Section B, summer 1930.
NEW JULY 2021. This is from the LNER working timetable to run from 7 July to 21 September 1930 covering its Eastern Area, which equates to the old GER. We thank John Smart of the LNER Society for making it available from his personal collection, so it now becomes accessible to all who are interested.
It is in four parts, none of which deal with the suburban services. This is Section B (the other three parts are available as TW068, TW070 and TW071- the quickest way to find them is to scroll right down in the 'Related Products' list below). You can also purchase all four sections at a discounted price: to do that you should read about them here, then go to TW072.
The principal contents of this Section are the branch lines in the western part of the area, off the main Cambridge line. Its 77 pages include tables for Bishops Stortford to Dunmow & Braintree; Audley End to Saffron Walden & Bartlow; Cambridge, Bury & Haughley; Cambridge to Mildenhall; Somersham to Ramsey East; Cambridge, St Ives & March; Huntingdon East & St Ives; Ely & St Ives; Elsenham & Thaxted; Newmarket & Ely; Wisbech & Upwell; March, Wisbech & Lynn; Downham & Stoke Ferry; Kings Lynn Dock; Bury & Thetford; Thetford & Swaffham; Lynn, Swaffham & Dereham; M&GN trains at Lynn; Lynn harbour branch; Heacham & Wells; Norwich, Dereham & Wells; Norwich to Yarmouth & Lowestoft; Norwich to Cromer & Sheringham; Wroxham & County School; and North Walsham, Mundesley & Cromer Beach.
Details of many special workings follow, such as livestock from Norwich and Bury to the GW system. All signal boxes on the lines covered are listed, with their times of opening. You can see the full list of contents HERE.
We have provided bookmarks to the main sections. The file will be available to download as soon as payment has been made. You go to your account and click on ‘Downloads’. New customers create an account as they place their order.
