SG045 Signalling Regulations, GER 1909
NEW NOVEMBER 2014. Instructions Nos. 490 to 495 issued by the GER, due to come into force on Friday 1 January 1909. These are a set of general signalling regulations combined to form a booklet of 132 pages (including a few blank ones).
They comprise instructions for Sykes' Lock and Block; for Tyer's Double Line Block Telegraph (the model with 2 indications); for Tyer's Double Line Block Telegraph (the one-wire instrument with 3 indications); for Tyer's Single Line Block Telegraph (with 2 indications); for Tyer's Single Line Block Telegraph (with 3 indications); and for the Electric Train Tablet (Tyer's No. 2 and 6 Instruments). Each one begins with a drawing and description of the instrument concerned, followed by the detailed regulations which apply when using it.
The set of Instructions originally came with a cover, but that was missing. Instead, a reproduction of that cover is provided in this file - which explains why that page is so much tidier than the rest of the document! The first page after that, which provides an index, is stamped 'Fulbourne'.
