RE033 Portable Fire Extinguishers, BR 1965

  • RE033 Portable Fire Extinguishers, BR 1965

NEW NOVEMBER 2015. This small booklet, entitled 'Portable Fire Extinguishers on Trains', was published by the British Railways Board in January 1965.  It is coded BR7006.  It gives illustrations of the types of fire extinguisher which were provided, indicates what sort of fires each one was suitable for, and gives brief instructions for their use.  Noteworthy were two antiquated models unique to the Western Region: these were clearly legacies from GWR days.
